Laundry Department is divided into three parts namely: 1. Washing 2. Drying 3. Finishing Washing Section: Consists of four washers of 1001b each. Hydro extractor: For squeezing excess water fro the washed linen. We have three in the department, but only one is in order. Drying section: Consists of two drying machines and both are working. It is where we dry heavy twill, linen, counterpane, and towels etc. Finishing section: It is where we have the flat-ironing machine that irons the flat-sheets like bed sheets, draw sheets, pillowslips etc. It consists of two flat ironers, one is working and the other is out of order. At the Finishing section we also have the pressing machine for pressing patient’s gowns, pyjamas shift and trouser, Doctors coat, Nurses gowns etc. Five hydraulic presses but non is working presently. We launder for all the hospitals, Health-Centres, Schools of Nursing, Family planning, and Maternity Hospitals and all other Government’s Dirty Window Blinds or curtains in the state. We contact and advice the head of units and authorities on linens, textiles and detergents.
